I love everything about this! It seems like less and less moms are staying home and I think it's because our society tells us we need certain things that we can't have on one income.

I've been thinking about you since your Instagram story about being sad to have to wait for kids. I really wanted to encourage you that you guys are so far ahead of so many families when they start having kids and I think you should go for it! Don't wait until you're in a house or even more financially secure. Y'all have done great with your money and I'm sure you'll continue to and even though adding kids adds expenses, it'll work out!

I've always known I wanted to stay home with kids so even though my husband was only making around $35k and we were in an apartment (no debt, though), I quit working a job I loved to do a job I've loved even more!! God has given us wisdom in our spending and saving and my husband's income has gone up to $90k and then now back to $50k (switched from engineering to pastoring) and we have always had enough (and extra!) so we have a great house, money to invest, we're saving, paying cash for cars, everything! I think when you want something and are willing to sacrifice, you can do it! I've had a small side hustle most of my stay at home years and I wouldn't trade anything for these more peaceful, less busy years at home with my three boys. They're now all in school and I can devote more time to my home business (making sugar cookies and other goodies). But I'm still home because that's the pace we decided was best for our family.

I'm thinking about you guys and look forward to hearing whenever you're able to stay home and begin having your kiddos. ❤️

Thanks for making this video. I don’t plan on having kids for a few more years but I already weigh the pros and cons of staying home. So its nice to hear from someone who made the decision recently.
