Bestowing the Blessing says:

Great advice girly ,
I don't have family around me so I go to Mcdonalds play area like once a week and usually there is a mom with her kids and we connect on how we go there to let our kids get tired lol

Old Soul Homestead - Amy says:

So there is a house several acres away from us that's has cows. I was driving by one day and caught the lady who lives there and stopped to ask if she had extra manure for my garden. She said yes anytime just text and we swapped numbers. Well, after me asking and going home I felt embarrassed I had just asked for manure, I'm somewhat an introvert and I never did text to go pick any up. Well, several months later a cat came wondering to our property and would not leave so I took him in and posted online to find the owners. Sure enough, he was that ladies cat. I feel like he came wondering to connect us again and we've been friends ever since. We are neighbors but not right close since we love in a rural area but a 5 minute walk away or so. We are both in our twenties with young families that enjoy raising animals and food gardens and homesteading skills and I feel very lucky. For years I felt alone with no other females to share my interests. Now I am meeting more people who are like minded through a local homesteaders facebook page and my introvert self even hosted a homesteaders potluck meet and greet. Its hard wanting company but then having great anxiety about meeting people but I think that helps us not fall fast friends with the wrong people.

Great tips Sarah! I also try to attend ladies events/studies at our church when I'm able too. They typically provide childcare and just and hour or two can be so refreshing. I've connected with so really sweet Mamas that way! 😊

Great advice….I like how you didn't say the typical things that most ppl say in regards to making new mommy friends. Lol it reminds me to treasure the ppl I do have before I worry about the ones I don't.

I love all of your videos! You seem wise beyond your years. Keep up the good work! πŸ’–

Stefanie Medina says:

From Sept-May I go to Mops (mothers of preschoolers). They meet every other week and I have made some real friendships there. No mommy drama or mommy wars. The kids go to child are to play and the moms hang out and talk. Also, the library can be a great place for kids and adult activities.

The Babcocks says:

I do a lot of texting and stuff like that with several of my mom friends, because it's quick and convenient. I also love getting together with them when I can. Growing up there were several ladies in my life who were much older than me who poured a ton into me and helped me become the person I am today. I can relate with being lonely, but also overcoming it.

Jamie Patterson says:

One of my best friends is my sister who is 12 years older than me. She has 6 kids and a world of experience. I also just recently joined a local moms group that does events, play dates, and volunteering. We are having a moms night out tonight! These are great tips, Sarah! As always I loved this video. ❀️

Christina Wallace says:

My mom is my best friend. She just moved 2.5 hours away and I miss her so much! Not to mention the fact that we had to change churches- so the friends I did have aren't there anymore. Maybe it's just a season of growth. πŸ’•πŸ™ƒ God truly is the best friend anyone can have!

LovedHappy says:

So much wisdom in this! I love that your grandmother and aunt are your best friends πŸ™‚ You are blessed to have women like them in your family! Also about turning to God in those times. πŸ’• I made one of my closest mom friends when we were just walking around our neighborhood, each with our babies and I just started talking to her and we exchanged numbers. Same with another married/now mom friend at a community college, I can't imagine having not gone up to them and saying hi seeing the great friends they became. So worth that little bit of awkwardnessπŸ’•

raising men says:

Great video! stepping out of my comfort zone is sometimes a challenge for me but it usually goes amazing after I do so.
