The Economics of Affiliate Marketing and Multi-Level Marketing (MLM/Network Marketing) in One Minute

Affiliate marketing as well as multi-level marketing (also referred to as MLM, network marketing and pyramid marketing) may seem like reasonably obscure terms but in fact, they’re all around us.

A lot of the products we buy online are sold by affiliates and in fact, we might have bought stuff as a result of affiliate marketing campaigns without realizing it.

The same way, huge companies such as Herbalife have a business model which is either explicitly multi-level marketing in nature or is “kinda, sorta” in the realm of MLM.

Without further ado, let’s put affiliate marketing and multi-level marketing under the microscope!

One Minute Economics says:

Just a quick message: I know you're used to me publishing animations on Tuesdays and might be wondering why you're seeing one on Friday. Well, call me crazy but as an experiment, I'll be publishing TWO animations per week as of this point. One each Tuesday (as usual) and another animation on Friday (just like today) 🙂

It's going to be ridiculously hard but I have soooooooooooo many ideas for animations that I just had to give it a go.

Now I can't promise this will go on forever because I'm currently publishing videos FIVE times per week and needless to say, a LOT of work is involved:

1) Monday's rant

2) Tuesday's animation

3) Thursday's news video

4) Friday's animation (as of today)

5) Saturday's Q & A video

… but I promise I'll do my best 🙂

One Minute Economics went from being a hobby to entering "part-time occupation" territory and right now, we're remarkably close to the "full-time occupation" zone and as such, any and all help would be greatly appreciated.

What can you do to help?

Well, primarily two things:

1) Developing the habit of doing one social media "thing" for the channel per week: liking the channel on Facebook, sharing one of my videos, tweeting about one of my videos and so on

2) Only if you can afford it, supporting the channel financially as well by buying my Wealth Management 2.0 book or donating via PayPal/Bitcoin/Patreon. Head on over to for more details

… doing this is of course purely optional but One Minute Economics definitely needs your help, so please become a friend of the channel and let's do some genuinely awesome stuff together!
